In 2016, I began my clinical training with Family Birth Services in Grand Prairie, Texas. It was there that I attended my very first birth, with many more to follow. I graduated from Association of Texas Midwives Midwifery Training Program in 2019 and obtained my state license after two years as an intern.
I love getting to build relationships with the women I serve; each appointment I not only want to provide you with care but a listening ear and a judge-fee zone. I strive to preserve the natural process of childbirth by empowering and educating my clients. I want everyone who I walk alongside in their pregnancy to feel that they were given all the information possible to achieve the pregnancy and birth that they want.
When I'm not serving mamas and babies, I love going on walks with my daughter, cooking, drinking coffee, thrift shopping, geeking out about nutrition and nontoxic living, and spending quality time with my husband, family, and friends.

In 2016, I began my journey in midwifery after being inspired by my dear friend who was also training to become a midwife. Midwifery immediately felt like home and I felt immense peace believing that this was exactly what God was calling me to do. Midwifery care has taught me so much and has changed my entire approach to life, my relationship with women, and it has given me such a
greater capacity for compassion and understanding. I was blessed to have been under incredible and seasoned midwives as a student midwife. After my 5 year internship, I graduated from the Association of Texas Midwives academic program and became licensed in 2021! I strive to provide truly personalized care, and treat each woman as a whole person. It's a humbling experience to be invited into a woman's most vulnerable spaces, and I am honored to walk with women while they're growing their families.
I'm married to my best supporter and the biggest out of hospital advocate, my sweet husband Brendon. I love the outdoors and a big cup of coffee! No children yet, but our two puppies and cat keep us very busy!

I've always admired and loved holistic lifestyle, including midwifery. By bringing over 10 years of business experience, I get to be in the midwifery world without getting my "hands dirty". I love to help families through this miraculous stage of life by assisting in the administrative tasks, so the midwives can put their full attention on you and your growing family. Having personally experienced holistic care with Sage during my own pregnancy, I know you're in great hands. Outside of work, I love staying home with my husband and son on our homestead with a warm cup of coffee in my hand.
At Sage Midwifery, we offer prenatal visits from a shared office in Grand Prairie. Starting in your first trimester, your midwife takes the time necessary at each appointment to ensure you will receive the support and education you need to have a successful birth. Our primary goal is always for each woman to feel safe and empowered throughout her care with us. We perform all labs, ultrasounds, and routine assessments from the comfort of our office.
From the first sign of labor your midwife is available to guide you in navigating your birth experience. Home birth provides you with the freedom to move around as needed, to eat what you'd like when you'd like, and relax in whatever way feels right for you whether that's in water or on land. We closely monitor you and your baby throughout labor to ensure a safe delivery with minimal interventions.
To ensure that you receive the best possible care for you and your newborn baby, your midwife will remain in close contact with you after your birth to provide support, physical exams, assist with breastfeeding, and answer any questions you may have. We offer your first week of postpartum care in the comfort of your home, with the remainder of your appointments taking place in our home office until six weeks postpartum.
"On June 20th, 2018 at 8:55 PM, I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl. She was born at Family Birth Services and delivered by Sarah White. I could not have orchestrated a more peaceful, meaningful, and powerful birth experience. I also couldn’t have asked for a better midwife! Throughout my prenatal care, Sarah was attentive, understanding, and informative. I always felt heard and understood. During my appointments she answered my questions and listened to my concerns, both medical and personal. Sarah built such a rapport with me during this time that once the big day came, I felt like I had a friend by my side during labor and delivery. Her calm energy radiated over the entire birth team and set the tone for a peaceful birth. Once it was time to push, she listened to my needs and provided me with the tools I needed to bring my baby into the world. Sarah caught my baby and I was able to immediately hold her. During the entire birth process, I felt extremely confident in my midwife, my birth team, and my overall experience. I felt so empowered by my first birth. If I hadn’t moved across the state, I would definitely want Sarah to deliver all my babies! I can’t recommend her enough!"

"I have done two births with Emily and she has been Heaven sent. Not only did she help me conquer a VBAC (Vaginal birth after cesarean) at a birth center, she also helped me with another birth at home 20 months later. Her kindness, her knowledge, her confidence, her humility, ALL make her a perfect midwife. When I asked questions, she knew or found out the answers. She pulled me from a dark place of giving birth to now knowing how strong of a woman I am and that I can birth because the contractions and I are one. Together, we brought babies into this world, and I genuinely can say I could not have done it without her. I never felt alone. I always knew I could do it. Her encouragement was such a blessing to me and my husband. And I'm grateful for her. She really is an angel in disguise."
